Privacy Policy
How QuantDesigned collects, uses and protects information — including our use of analytics cookies and your consent choices.
Last updated: 24 July 2026.
1. Who we are
QuantDesigned HK Limited ("QuantDesigned", "we", "us") is the data controller for this website. Registered address: 11/F, Central Tower, 28 Queen's Road Central, Central, Hong Kong. Contact: info@quantdesigned.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what information we collect when you visit quantdesigned.com, why we collect it, the cookies we use, and the choices available to you — including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation and ePrivacy rules, the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO), the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and the Australian Privacy Act.
3. Information we collect
We collect two kinds of information:
- Analytics data, via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — but only once you accept analytics cookies through the consent banner. This includes pages viewed, approximate location (city/country level, derived from IP address), device and browser type, referring site, and session duration. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and we do not run ads or remarketing on this site.
- Interaction and session-replay data, via Microsoft Clarity — again, only once you accept. Clarity records how pages are used: mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and page navigation, which we review as aggregated heatmaps and as playbacks of individual sessions. Clarity is configured to mask text entered into fields, so the content of anything you type is not captured. We use this to understand which parts of a page are read or ignored, not to identify individual visitors.
- Information you send us directly — for example, if you email info@quantdesigned.com or use a mailto link on the site, we receive whatever you include in that message (name, email address, and message content). We use this only to respond to your enquiry.
We do not operate contact forms, user accounts or e-commerce checkout on this site, so we do not collect payment details or account credentials.
4. Cookies and consent
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Your choice applies across every page and future visits, until you change it.
- Before you choose, or if you reject: no analytics cookies are set, no analytics data is sent to Google, and the Microsoft Clarity script is never loaded — so no session is recorded.
- If you accept: the cookies below are set, analytics data starts flowing to our Google Analytics property, and Clarity begins recording page interactions.
- If you later withdraw consent: we stop loading Clarity and clear its cookies. Any recording already in progress ends when you navigate away.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics | Persists GA4 session state | Up to 2 years |
_clck | Microsoft Clarity | Links page views to a single visitor | Up to 1 year |
_clsk | Microsoft Clarity | Groups page views into one session | Session |
Your consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) under qd_consent, and is re-requested after 12 months.
We use Google's Consent Mode v2: advertising storage (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) is always denied — we run no ads — and analytics storage defaults to denied until you accept.
You can change your choice at any time via .
5. Legal basis
Where GDPR/UK GDPR or PECR-equivalent rules apply, our legal basis for setting analytics cookies is your consent, given through the banner. You may withdraw consent at any time with no effect on the lawfulness of any processing carried out before withdrawal. Where PDPO, PDPA or the Australian Privacy Act apply, we rely on consent for analytics and on legitimate business interest for responding to enquiries you send us directly.
6. Third-party processors and international transfers
Google Analytics is provided by Google. Analytics data may be processed on servers outside your home jurisdiction, including in the United States. Google provides contractual safeguards for these transfers (including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable). See Google's Privacy Policy for details of how Google processes this data.
Clarity is provided by Microsoft. Interaction and session-replay data may likewise be processed on servers outside your home jurisdiction, including in the United States, under Microsoft's own contractual transfer safeguards. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement for details of how Microsoft processes this data.
7. Data retention
Analytics event and user-level data in our Google Analytics 4 property is retained in line with GA4's standard retention settings (currently 14 months by default) before automatic deletion. Session recordings and interaction data in Microsoft Clarity are retained in line with Clarity's own standard retention schedule before automatic deletion; we do not extend it. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for our own record-keeping obligations.
8. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of personal data we hold about you, to object to or restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, or to ask a question about this policy, contact info@quantdesigned.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change the analytics tools we use. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
